I love Autumn. All the leaves changing colour to all the shades or red and orange. It's so pretty. I love the cool crisp mornings, wearing my boots, hats and chunky scarves, having the fire on in the evening, drinking hot chocolate, wearing slippers, making soup and watching beautiful sunsets. We went for an autumn walk with my cousin and his family at Abinger Roughs in Surrey. There were fallen leaves everywhere and all sorts of mushrooms... it was wonderful!
After our walk we went to the Percy Arms in Chilworth for lunch. The Percy Arms is an English Gastro Pub with a South African twist. Inside the decor is like a colonial shooting lodge with large black and white photos of South African wildlife on the walls. The menu has, as well as English pub grub, loads of South African options including boerewors, biltong, bobotie, chakalaka, Durban style curry, ostrich and kingklip! I had a boerewors starter, bobotie main and multiple Dom Pedro's for dessert! I don't know how many we had in the end, but it was a lovely warming boozy Sunday lunch after a cold Autumn walk. What a good find!
