Last year we spent a weekend near Tintagel in Cornwall with our friends, Ben and Hannah. We stayed in a fantastic little cottage in Treknow called Puffins. It was lovely and cosy with a fireplace and had loads of designer furniture and kitchen equipment. Hannah is absolutely passionate about walking so she planned and led our walks over the 2 days we were there. Our first walk was from Rock through St Enodoc Golf Club (which has a church in the middle of it!), fields of cows, past lovely old cottages and through fields of corn. We stopped at Sharp's brewery (which was on our route) for a drink and then headed back. Ben is vegetarian and I was cooking, so I attempted to make a veggie bobotie (which was quite interesting) and a milktart for pudding. On our second day we walked from our cottage down to Trebarwith Strand and along the beautiful coastal path to Tintagel. Tintagel has a castle right off the coast which you access via a bridge. It also has an awesome old post office and some seriously good pasty shops! We headed back to Trebarwith Strand for a walk on the beach and some fish and chips at the Port William pub.
