My brother Zane comes back from Hong Kong about once a year and we have started trying to get away so that we have some dedicated time together and they get to see somewhere new in the UK at the same time. The first place we stayed was a gorgeous cottage near Liskeard in Cornwall. It was just me, Zane, my sister Amy and our partners Chris, Isi and Gord. It was the first time we'd all been away together and it was so much fun! We drew straws for the bedrooms and despite being the oldest sibling Chris and I got the small twin room, Zane and Isi got the middle double room and Amy and Gord who are the youngest got the main double room with en-suite bathroom!
We only stayed a couple of nights, but we went out running, ate pasties and explored Polperro with all its cute streets, boats and cosy pubs. We got the train from Liskeard to Looe, which is a beautifully scenic journey and walked part of the Cornwall Coastal Path. We had cream teas in a cute little beach hut and searched for crabs in the rocks in Talland Bay.
Before Zane moved to Hong Kong he lived in Coventry and hadn't seen a huge amount of the UK, so it was such a treat to be able to show him Cornwall. He had no idea England was so beautiful :-)
