Dublin and the Fingal Way
I was lucky to go to Dublin with my old job a few times. My cousin and his family live there so it was a good excuse to get to see them. I got to check out Temple Bar and try out a few of the pubs with my colleagues and have a few pints of Guinness. Chris and I also went on a 10 day trip around Ireland a few years ago and we did all the touristy sites then. We caught the sightseeing tour bus, visited the Guinness storehouse (which was brilliant!), Trinity College and Phoenix Park. We also went for Chowder at Howth Harbour with my cousin John and his family. There are loads of little suburban coastal towns surrounding Dublin. John lived in Donabate, so on a recent visit I caught a train out to see them. We went out for a drive and walked the Fingal Way, which is a beautiful part of the Irish coast. Dublin has an incredible vibe, there is music everywhere you go, on the street and in the pubs. The Irish people are super friendly... it is a great place for a weekend away or of course a definite stop on a tour of Ireland! :-)
