I think Dorset gets overlooked sometimes with Cornwall and Devon so nearby. It is so beautiful and so worth a visit! There are lots of pretty beaches and countryside. We've been a few times recently, sometimes just for the day. Durdle Door is great and if it's a good day, even better! You can just chill on the pebbled beach or check out the nearby caves. Weymouth is a lovely seaside town to visit with its long sandy beach, harbour and lighthouse. I haven't actually visited it properly but we've driven past and stopped to see Corfe Castle which looks very dramatic up on a hill and definitely worth a visit. Poundbury is an interesting town to visit - I discovered it when I did my foraging course with Mat Follas. It is quite a new experimental town designed by Prince Charles and has quite a few little cafes, shops and restaurants. Most recently we walked the Old Harry Rocks coastal path. Old Harry Rocks are three huge chalk formations which are part of the Jurrasic coast... it is a beautiful walk. I've only seen a small part of Dorset... there is so much more to see and explore... definitely worth a visit!
