Siena is just the most wonderful place to wander around aimlessly. Lie in the sunshine in the piazza, eat a gelato, wander the old streets, pop into an art gallery, enjoy a cold glass of wine, wander some more, have another gelato :-). Siena is a UNESCO world heritage site. It has the most impressive cathedral (duomo) I've ever seen. Inside is all decorated in black and white stripes. The piazza (town square which is not a square but more of an shell shape) is famous for the Palio, a twice yearly medieval horse race. Definitely one of my favourite days in Tuscany!
