Last week Chris and I headed up to Scotland to visit our friends Kelly and Emily in the Borders. Oh my gosh it was cold, but so lovely to see snow. We walked from their cottage in the Glen into Innerleithen to have tea and cake at the No 1 cafe and check out the lovely little charity, antique and bookshops. No 1 is a gorgeous little cosy, friendly cafe with blankets and hot water bottles and really good cake and chai! We also took a drive through the snowy Borders past stunning views, orange sheep, geese, rural country houses and farms to a valley called the Devil's Beeftub. After playing in the snow, we stopped to warm up with a coffee at the colourful Brodies in Moffat. In the evenings we sat by the fire, drank wine, watched movies and played games. A special weekend with old friends in a beautiful part of the world!
